5. Quartering.-R.G.A. in barracks and under canvas, one relief being always present at the guns.
R.E. in barracks and under canvas. Submarine Miners near lights. H.K.S.B.R.G.A. and Native Infy, under canvas. British Infy, and Volunteers in barracks; outposts under canvas.
Telephone operators at telephones. R.A.M.C. at dressing station. A.O.D. and Coolie Corps at Ration Depôt.
6. Communications.- Forts are connected by telephone with Headquarters, and Belchers can communicate direct with Stonecutters Island. In addition, signallers, orderlies, and launches will be available.
7. Water. At Stonecutters is supplied from tanks filled by water-boats under A.S.C. arrangements.
8. Ammunition.Stored in fort magazines, at rate of:-
10-in. and 9-2-in. B.L., 250 rounds; 6-in. B.L., 200 rounds; 47-in. Q.F., 500 rounds; 12-pr. Q.F., 500 rounds; 6-pr. and 3-pr., 500 rounds per gun, and 11,000 rounds per gun per machine gun. Each artilleryman carries 50 rounds pouch ammuni- tion and each infantryman 100. 1st reserve S.A.A. ammunition is kept in regimental charge and the 2nd in ordnance charge at Ration Depôt.
9. Works.-The following works will require construction on mobilization :-
1. Shelter trenches.
2. Placing of sand bags to crown parapets.
3. Field magazine.
