(iv.)-Section Commander, No. III (Mount Cameron) Section.

Headquarters

The Sanitarium.

1. Area. This section extends from a line running down the south spur of Mount Kellett, on the west, to a line running down the south spur of Mount Nicholson on the east, is approximately 4,000 yards in length, and is bounded on the north and south by the sea.

2. Defensive Positions.-The following are the positions most suitable for defence in this section :—

Mount Kellett, Sanitarium Hill, Mount Cameron, and Mount Nicholson. Middle Gap is perhaps the most vulnerable point, but can be rendered secure by holding Mount Cameron and Mount Nicholson, which dominate this defile. 2-4-7-in. guns of the movable armament have been allotted to this section, and will be placed in position, one on the south spur of Mount Kellet and one on the south spur of Mount Cameron. A permanent infantry guard, furnished by the reserve, will be established for the protection of the docks at Aberdeen.

3. Staff and Troops-The garrison consists of:----

R.G.A.

Fortress Company, R.E.

British Infantry, with 2 Maxims..

R.A.M.C.

Coolie Corps

A.O.D.

Officers.

N.C.OS. and Men.

* Including Section Commander.
