LONG-DISTANCE HONG KONG HIKING TRAILS
WILSON TRAIL
The Wilson Trail, opened in 1996, was named after former Governor of Hong Kong Sir David Wilson. It takes a northerly route from Stanley Gap Road on Hong Kong Island to Nam Chung in the northern New Territories.
MACLEHOSE TRAIL
Hong Kong's longest and oldest long-distance trail, the MacLehose Trail, opened in 1979 named after the then Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Murray MacLehose. It runs through the New Territories from east to west and was hailed in 2016 as one of '20 dream trails' by National Geographic.
