Mangled cycling tracks at Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park showed the extent of destruction left behind in September after one of the most powerful typhoons to hit Hong Kong warranted 10 hours of the No 10 Hurricane Signal, during which Waglan Island and Cheung Chau recorded maximum 60-minute mean wind speeds of 161 and 157 kilometres per hour respectively.
