Water Supplies
Hong Kong's reservoirs and water catchment areas have shaped much of its countryside, with the oldest structures dating back to the 19th century. Newer reservoirs were built in the 1960s to accommodate water supplied from the Dongjiang in Guangdong Province. This dam at Shek Lei Pui Reservoir was built in 1925.
