Constitution and Administration

Trade and Cultural Office in Taiwan promotes Hong Kong's image, strengthens bilateral exchanges, and serves Hong Kong people and businesses in Taiwan.

Key achievements in 2013 include:

The export credit insurance organisations and the academic qualification accreditation authorities in Hong Kong and Taiwan signed agreements to enhance co-operation;

The Secretary for the Environment, the Secretary for Development and the Secretary for Transport and Housing led delegations to Taiwan respectively to visit environmental protection facilities, revitalised historic buildings, and port infrastructure to enhance exchanges between the two places in these areas;

Four law enforcement agencies established liaison channels with their Taiwan counterparts to increase operational exchanges; and

- Hong Kong and Taipei held an inter-city forum on city management, with participation from hundreds of officials, academic experts and trade representatives of both places.
