On the international front, the PCPD organised 'Privacy Awareness Week 2011' jointly with members of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities in May 2011.

The Government, with the support of the PCPD, conducted a comprehensive review of the PDPO in 2009 to strengthen personal data privacy protection and introduced the Personal Data (Privacy) (Amendment) Bill in 2011, which is being scrutinised by the Legislative Council.
