Above: On June 25, the Legislative
Council passed the draft amendment to the method for forming the Legislative Council in 2012. The Chief Executive (right) signed instruments of consent at Government House on June 29, giving his consent to the draft amendments to Annexes I and II to the Basic Law concerning the methods for selecting the Chief Executive and forming the Legislative Council in 2012 for approval and record respectively by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
