Constitutional Development

On June 24 and 25, in an historic milestone, legislators passed a constitutional reform package concerning draft amendments to the methods of selection for the Chief Executive and for the formation of the Legislative Council in 2012. The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, and senior officials toured a number of districts across Hong Kong in an open-top bus (pictured) on May 29 to launch the 'Act Now' campaign, seeking greater public support for the 2012 constitutional reform package.
