Notes: Figures refer to December of the year. Figures in brackets refer to percentage changes over the same
period of the preceding year.
Figures are compiled based on Hong Kong Standard Industrial Classification (HSIC) Version 2.0 and the series has been backcasted to 2004. For years prior to 2004, only figures in HSIC Version 1.1 are available. Hence, percentage changes for 2004 over 2003 based on HSIC Version 2.0 cannot be provided.
Real wage index is derived by deflating the corresponding Nominal wage index by the 2004/2005-based CPI(A).
(1) Figures refer to all industries covered by the Wage Enquiry of the Labour Earnings Survey, including the electricity and gas supply industry, sewerage and waste management activities industry and publishing activities industry, the statistics of which are not separately shown. Change within ±0.05%.
