Infrastructure

With a main span of 1 018 metres, Stonecutters Bridge (pictured) will be one of the longest span cable-stayed bridges in the world. Due for completion in 2009, the bridge is highly visible from Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon peninsula. It forms a key part of Route 8, which will improve road links between the airport, the city centre, the New Territories and the Mainland, and provide much easier road access to the Kwai Chung container terminals.
