Figures include students of special classes in ordinary schools. Figures for practical schools and skills opportunity schools were subsumed in "Secondary school" once the schools concerned completed mainstreaming between September 2001 to August 2005.
Figures for the Vocational Training Council refer to students of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, School of Business and Information Systems, Training and Development Centres and Continuing Professional Development Centre.
