training programmes were organised to help young people equip themselves to meet different challenges in the ever-changing and competitive world.
In 2005, over 13 000 activities were organised, and more than 1.5 million youngsters took part. The total cost was about $50 million of which $18 million was donated by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust Fund and the balance covered by subvention from the Government and District Councils, private donations and participants' fees.
