Notes: (a) Occupational injuries are injuries (including industrial accidents) arising from work accidents, resulting in death or incapacity for work of over 3 consecutive days and reported under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance. Effective 1998, occupational injuries refer to the actual number of injuries occurred in that year.
(b) Due to changes in the reported data, the former classification by "casue of accident" is replaced by a new classification by "type of
accident".
(c) The above provisional figures show the position of cases recorded as at 1.3.1999.
