Film star Jackie Chan demonstrates how easy it is to give blood during a campaign by the Red Cross. Politicians, singers and other celebrities joined thousands of donors in response to the appeal. The Red Cross has seven donor centres in

the HKSAR to collect blood for the local population, whose blood types are in the following proportions: 26 per cent type 'A', 27 per cent type 'B', 40 per cent type 'O' and 7 per cent ‘AB' blood.
