These women harvesting seaweed in Deep Bay and winnowing rice near Tai Po were chosen as typical scenes for the first Hong Kong Yearbook 50 years ago. Half a century later, these bright, fashionable office workers might be taken as representing the "typical" young '90s Hong Kong woman.
