immigrants during their border operation in May. In the November camp, the regiment deployed two squadrons in support of the British Forces Hong Kong field training exercise. A third squadron was deployed in support of police anti-smuggling operations. This squadron worked alongside the marine police, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force to stem the flow of illegal goods into and out of Hong Kong. The remainder of the regiment conducted training throughout the New Territories.
