Bun Festival

First page of colour section: The fishing community on Kat O Island, in Mirs Bay, pays homage to the sea goddess Tin Hau. Kat O Island is also known as Crooked Island because of its knobbly coastline.

This page: Cheung Chau, a dumbbell-shaped island within easy commuting distance from Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, is famous for its Bun Festival (far left) and its seafood. The western bay (right, below) is a sheltered anchorage for a multitude of fishing craft.
