Hong Kong Stamps

Many of the unique facets of Hong Kong's life are summed up in the tiny works of art which adorn the upper right hand corner of our envelopes. Each year Hong Kong sells more and more stamps, to meet the demands of a rising population and increas- ing interest from collectors throughout the world. Approximately 150 million stamps were sold in 1968. Sales of first day covers to collectors are also growing: more than 350,000 were sold in 1968. Twelve new stamps were issued in Hong Kong during 1968; they are illustrated below and on the following page.
