Hong Kong's prosperity has brought demands for higher income-bracket
homes such as these flats (above) in the Happy Valley area of Hong Kong Island. A considerable proportion of new building is for luxury flats and it has been estimated that during 1964 some 3,000 flats will either be completed or be in an advanced state of construction.
