21. Contingent Liabilities
The parent company has issued a counter indemnity to the extent of £4,198,000 in respect of the obligation of a subsidiary company covering credit facilities made available to an associated company.
22. Subsequent Event
The temporary licence granted by the Commissioner for Transport to the Company under section 28 of the Ferry Services Ordinance was extended to the 31st March, 1984.
Negotiations on the terms for a new franchise are presently being discussed by the Company with Government.
