14/9. (These shares have recently been spli up into 10 shares of 2/ each for one old share of £1 paid up). Sungie Kapars a £3 2 6, Consolidated. Malays at £6, Damansaras at £3 17. Lingies at 23/ and 23/6 and Ragalas at $26 and $25, Stroi's currency.
MISCELLANEOUS. Dairys have changed hands at 17, and are still in request, Cements at 8.70, closing with sellers. China Lights at 61, 61 and 7, closing with sellers at the highest rate, and Watsons at 8. Philippines are in request at 9. and China Borneos at 3 Other stocks under this heading close with selle s at quotations.

HONGKONG, 4th September, 1909.-The mar- ket continues dull and we have but little of in- terest to report. Rates still show an inclination to weakness and the greater part of the busi- ness of the week has been confined to Rubbers Exchange on London closes at 1/9 T/ I', and on, Shanghai at 747.

placed at the reduced rate of 8374 and 885, the 'kong Rope M. Cộ..... market closing at the former rate. on offer at the reduced rate of 185. sale has been effected at 188 during the week. North Chinas have ruled easier, and with sellers in the North at 121 the local rate has declined to 120 with sellers. Yangtszes are enquired for in small lots at quotation, but no shares seem to be available here.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs, have im- proved to 350 with small sales and close with buyers. Chinas have changed hands at 114} and 115.
SHIPPING.-Indo-Chinas were in demand at 59 for combined shares, but at time of closing buyers have withdrawn. Sbells are wanted at- 71/6, but no shares come on the market. Other stocks under this heading call for no remarks,
REFINERTES. China Sugars have been in some demand, and in the absence of sellers the rate has improved to 145 closing with buyers. Luzons after further sales at 30 and 29 close with sellers at 29.

MINING. We have no changes nor business to report under this heading..
DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong-Robinson Piano Co. kong and Whampoa Docks with a steady en- quiry have improved to 62 after sales at 60 and 61, Kowloon Wharfs have also improved their position and after fair, sales at 60 close in demand at that rate. Shanghai Docks are quoted a point higher in the North at 79 buyers, and Hongkew Wharfs after falling to 145, close at 148.
LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands have been dull and after a few more small sales at 105, sellers have ruled the market. Hotels have subsided and buyers are no longer to the front. West Points have changed hands at 44′ and close with further sellers. We have nothing further to report under this heading.
COTTON MILLS.-Ewos bave declined in the Nortli to Tls. 135. Internationals and Làou Kung Mows have improved to Tls. 92 and Tis. 113 respectively, Hongkongs continue neglect- ed at 71⁄2 with sellers.
