HABUTAI.

YOKOHAMA, 31st May, 1909. KANAZAWA. Since our last report the market for this grade has remained quiet. What limited demand exi-ts has centered round 23 and 36 inch European goods, and 27 inch American quality.

ECHIZEN-There has been a fair demand for these goods, both for the European and American markets, and prices have shown a slow but steady advance. The European do and has been prin- cipally for the 23 inch and 36 inch goods in heavy qualities and twilla consequently prices have for America has been mostly in 27 inch goods, advanced in all grades in these sizes, while that

which has caused a ris in the 6 and 61 momme qualities, this advance being due to the scarcity of sufficiently satisfactory quality for this market, KAWAMATA. The price of these goods has advanced all round with the exception of 36 inch, but large stocks are, being held at present and plenty can be obtained, but of poor quality, at prices considerably under the market quotation.
