YACHTING.

C.Y.C. OPENING CRUISE,

Yesterday the members of the Corinthian Yacht Club had their opening cruise, and as asual, made it a picnic and regatta for the entertainment of numerous ladies and friends. Futachau was the place, and here, in the ruin of the old Customs Station, about 150 sat down to tiffin. Over twenty craft turned out, and there were several launches.

Mre. E. M. Hazeland, introduced by the Commodore, Dr. Clarke, presented the prizes, mostly silver trophies, the winners being as indicated in the following list.

Motor boat race (time allowance):—1st, Mr. Lyons, "Nellie"; 2nd, Mr. J, W. Kew.
