THE TRANSFER OF THE COMPANY.

The ninth ordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Japan Brewery Company, Ltd., Was beld at the Company's office, Yamate-cho, Yokohama, on the 13th instant. Mr. F. 8. James, Chairman and Managing Director, presiding.

The Chairman, in addressing the share. holders, reports the Japan Herald, said that was the annual general meeting of the Company called for the purpose of passing the report and accounts for the year 1906, and for giving authority to himself to represent the share holders at the first meeting of the new Company,'

Mr. Wood seconded the proposition, and it was carried unanimously,

The next business being the election of two Directors, Dr. Wheeler proposed tha' Masers. C. B. Bernard and L. J. Healing be re-elected. The motion was seconded by Mr. Rosenthal, and carried.
