LANDS, HOTELs and BuildiNGS.—Hong-

kong Lands have slightly improved on account of the axle by the Reclamation Co. of a piece of land in Kowloon, in which the Hongkong Lad Co. is interested. Sales have been made

at $122 and the market closes fairly steady at that rate. Hotels have declined to $144 without sales. We have nothing else to report under this heading.

COTTON MILLS.-No change or business to report with the exception of an advanos of The. 1 in Ewos, which are now wanted at Tla. 38.

MISCELLANEOUS.-China Borneos bave been. pinced at $124. Green Islands (old) at $264. Electrics (old) at $174 and China Light and Powers at the advanced rate of $10. Tramways could be placed at 82124, but none seem available,

SHARE REPORTS.

Hoxerona, 16th June, 1905.—The market

has shown no signs of improvement during the week and rates with a very few exceptions are quoted lower.

BANEP. - Hongkong and Shanghais have been placed in fair lots at $800 and $8024. clos ing steady at the latter rate. Nationals remain unchanged and without business.

MARINE INSURANCES, - Unions have been placed in small lots at $695, and Cantons at $320- and $3224 closing with buyers. Yangtsson have improved to $172 while Chinas remain unchanged and without business, China ') raders have found buyers at $65 and a fair business has beeu transacted.

FIRRINSURANCBS.—H'kongs have been placed, at $9-24πnd Chirant $87 in acimportant lots. SHIPPING.--Hongkong, Canton and Macnos and Douglas's have changed hands at quotations, the latter closing with nollers. Indes have de clined to $102 with bat few sales between that ad the closing rate (!! 6) of inst week; forward sales ́ are reported at $109 for Deo, the market closing very quiet.

small dividend paid by the Company, news of which arrived here by wire on the 3rd inst. The T.T. rate on London to-day is 2/7).__Banks.— Business reported locally at $800 from Hongkong. The London quotation is 483. Marine and Fire Insurance.--fangtases reported at $172. Ship ping.-Indo-China. The market opened on the 1st with sales for July at Tis. 88/4. On the 2nd Tls. 82 June, with sales for July Tls, 82/3/4/5 83/44/44, closing at Tls. 821. On the 3rd, on the directors' recommendation of a 12 shilling diy. for the year, the market opened with sales at Tls. 75 for July, after which business was done at Tis. 74/3/31 and 721. On the 5th shares for June at Tls. 734, July Tls. 74 and 74, September Tls. 75. On the 6th Tls..74 for June, July Tis. 75, Septem- ber Tls. 76, and December Tls. 77.
