New Lumber Yard-Valuable improvements have been made on the property, a large shed under which to season timber having been cons- tracted, and the ground partly filled in to the level of the Yangtszepoo Road.
Special Reserve Fund.-It was considered advisable to set aside a certain percentage on sales of Lumber to a special reserve fund to cover doubtful debts. The amount of Tls. 3,938.76, shown in the accounts, is a clear balance after the deduction of all bad debts incurred.
Capital-The Capital has been increased during the year from Tls. 251,000.00 to Tls. 278,000.00, by the issue of 270 new shares at par, in order to enable the Company to proceed 25,700.52 with the enlargement of their saw mill plant, and 276,237.00 to pay the second instalment on the purchase 38,107.70 of their property on the Yangtazepoo Road Cad.
