December shares were placed at 77, 771, and 78. At closing the market is strong with buyers at 78 for December, shares being chiefly wanted for the South.
Docks and Wharves S. C. Farnham, Boyd & Co.-The market opened on the 28th with sales at Tls. 143, and for January Tls, 150, 20th, a cash transaction is reported at 143 and on the 30th at the same rate for cash, and 1481
December. On the 3rd, 1451 September, 149 December and 150 Janary transactions are quoted. At closing there is a strong demand tor shares for the South which has caused a considerable firming up in the market, and shares are enquired for Dec. at Tls. 151. Shanghai and Hongkew Wharves have been placed at Tls. 150 cash. Sugar Cos.-No business reported. Mining. Weihaiwei Golds have been placed at $18 cash and $20 December delivery.
