A good race. Alves, Herbst and Millar were level up to about half-way. Hance was out of the race altogether, Thistle came in first, a quarter of a length ahead of Kornblume. Kornblume made a splendid spurt towards the

end.

Launch Crew,, Three boats started; No. 1 cox got"the best of it at the start and continued to improve throughout the race. No. 2 was second; and No. 3 a long way behind. No. 1 came in sight lengthis ahead. A notable thing about the race is that the crew that came in last yesterday is said to be the same as won to-day; they were in a different boat. Result :-

A good race, made especially interesting on account of the number competing. Ocean was firs; Vengeance sec:nd; Leviathan third, The Leviathan lodged a protest on account of the Vengeance not using, it was alleged, service oars.

A popular race. A launch of youngsters from the Diocesan School followed, lustily cheering contest in the their chums. A very even beginning, bat ended in a good win for Diocesan School by three lengths. The Queen's College cox steered very badly.
