HONGKONG, 30th October, 1903.-No chauge of importance has occurred in the general condition of our market during the past week, and. there is but little fresh business to report.
BANKS,
Hongkong and Shanghais have been booked at the slightly reduced rate of $634, Loudon has suffered a severe decline to £61. Nationals continue in request at $181, no sbares being obtainable under $80.

MARINE INSURANCES. - Uui. us at $492 China Traders are reported to have been booked at $58 and $604, closing with probable buyers at $60. North Chinas, Yangtszes, and Cantons are, unchanged.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs are procur- able at $320. Chinas close steady at $90 after sales at that rate.
SHIPPING-Hongkongs, Canton and Maraos have sold, and can still belobtained to a small ex- ent, at $31. Indo Chings have dropped to $77 sellers without finding buyers China and Manilas have been booked at 819. Douglases bave sold, and continue in regnest, at $30. Star Ferries are still procarab at $26 and $16 for the old and new issues respectively. Shell Transports have sold at 19s. and close with further sellers at the ratel
REFINERIES.-China || Sugars hare been booked at $96. Luzous re quiet and without change.
MINING. Raubs haves Id at $8, and more sbares are obtainable at that rate, Panjoms and Jelebus are unchanged and withou' business.
DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong- kong and Whampoa Doks have been booked at $201 and close iu further request. A sale at $209 for _February_ is also reported. Houg- kong and Kowloon Wharves can be placed, to a small extent, at $86, holders at present asking $87. New Amoy Docks are quiet at $38. Farnhams after reported sales in the North at Tls. 110 bave advanced to Tls, buyers.

LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands continue steady with some sellers at $154. Kowloon Lands are neglected at $38. Wést points have sold and close steady at $52§ Humphreys Estates are procurable to a small extent at $104. Hongkong Hotels are pro- curable at $147 with probable Luyers at $146. Oriente Hotels are on offer at $58.
COTTON MILLS.-Hongkongs continue in demand at $144. The Northern stoc s are unchanged and without local business.

MISCELLANEOUS -Grebu Island Cements can be placed at $221, and Watsons to a small extent at $14. United Asbestos are wantea at $9 (or linary) and 8210 (founders). Providents have declined to $9 with sales and further sellers. Powells have been booked at $84 and close with probable buyers at the rate,
