BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais continue in demand at $690 with small sales reported at | this and $6924. The London rate is unchanged at £62. 10s. Ød. Nationals continue unaltered and without busines«.

FIRE INSURANCES.-Chinas have advanced to 882 with sales and further buyers. Hong 5.75 to 5.80 5.95 to 6.00 kʊngs have been booked at $305 and $307), and

are in further rẻ quest at the higher rate.

SHIPPING.-Hongkong, Canton and Macnos have been booked in large quantities at $761. and more shares can be placed at this figure, Indo- hinas have fallen away considerably, and can now be obtained locally at $10', this being also the rate at which shares have changed hauds for April delivery. China and Manila are somewhat firmer with tales and further buyers a 827. Douglases are still enquired for at $429, and Etar Ferries (old) at $28. Shell Transports after sales at £1. 10s. have declined to £1. 78. fd. with sales and further sellers.

REFINERIES.-China Sugars have eased off to come extent during the week, but are again in request at $166 after sales at this rate for cash and $1064 for the settlement. Luz D8 continue neglected at $124 sellers.

DOCKS, WHARVES & GODOWNS.-Hongkong and Whampoa Docks have continued in request, and sales have been effected at $205) and 8206 cash and for the settlement, $208Į April, and $215 and $216 August, the market clo. ing with cash buyers at $206. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves have been booked and can still be placed at $924.
