MARINE INSURANCE -Unions have further advanced, aud close strong with buyers at $525. China Traders have been booked at 859 and continue on request. North Chinas are nachang- ed at Tls. 192į buyers. Yangtzes are still in demand at $135. Cantons and Straits are neglected at quotations.
FIRE INSURANCEA.-Hongkongs are wanted at $305 ex the dividend of $22 per share for 1901 paid on the 3rd instact. Chinas have sold at 87 and close firm at 881 ex the dividend of $6 per share for 1901 paid to-day.
SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have been booked at 236) and 837, and close firm at the former rate. Indo-Chinas have been the medium of considerable excitement in the north where the quotation advanced to the equivalent of $113 cash and $115 June, but has since re- ceded to $103 ca ́h, at which rate shares are now procurable. Chins and Manilas have improved to 828 buyers. Douglases are slightly lower at $43 with sales and further sellers. Star Ferries (old) continne in request and can now be placed at 826: the new issue is unchanged at $14 with sales and buyers. Shell Transports have found buyers at £1. 1o8. Od.
REFINERIES. China Sugars have been booked at $99, $100 and $101, and are still in request, Luzoas are unchanged with sellers at $121.
MINING. Punj‹ms have declined to 3! sellers. Raubs have b en placed at $75. Char bonnages are unchanged and without business. Jelebus can be procured at 81.
Docks, WHARves & Godowns.—Hongkong and Whampoa Docks have been in active demand, and close strong at $204 buyers. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves bave been booked at 293, but close somewhat easier with sellers at this rate. Now Amoy Docks are slightly lower with sales at 832). Farnhams are quoted at 'I ls. 185 sellers.
