SHARE REPORT.

HONGKONG, 11th April.-Business generally has ruled somewhat dull throughout the past week, and with the exception of an improve. ment in Hotels and Lands, rates in many instances again show a falling off.

BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais bave been done in small lots at $5974 and $595, closing with sellers at the lower rate, London has declined to £61. Nationals can still be placed at $26.

MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions have been purchased at $385. China Traders continui on offer at $53. North Chinas are wanted at Tls. 199, Canton Insurances have changed ownership at $1624 and are wanted.

FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkong Fires have been purchased at $345 and, $340, and more shares are obtainable at the lower rate. are offering at 382 after sales at that figure.

SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have sold at $38, and continue steady, Indo- Chinas have receded t› $134, at which sales are reported, and further sellers. China and Manilas have fallen off to $35 with some sales reported and small buyers at the rate. Star Ferries are weak at $24 (old) and $83 (new). Shell Transports continue on offer at £2.

REFINERIES.-China Sugars have found buyers at $124, $123 and $122 and more shares could probably be obtained at the latter rate. Luzons unaltered at $30 sellers.

MINING.-Punjoms are obtainable at $43. Charbonnages are firm with buyers at $550. Jelebus have declined to $3 sollers. Raub's are now obtainable at 894 after tales at that figure. DOCKS, WHArves and GODOWNS.-Hong- kong and Whampoa Docs have continued more or less neglected, and some shares are now to be had at $255. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves have sold and are steady at $90. New Amoy Docks have improved to $34 buyers.

LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Houg- kong Lands have again come into favour, and are in strong request at $178. Kowloon Lands are on offer at $30. Hongkong hotels have. sold at $136 to $138 and a:e in further request. Humphreys Estates can be placed in small lots | ut $124.

Busi ness was done at Tla. 257.50/260 cash, 262.50 for April, 272.50 for July, and 276 for August. Shang. hai and Hongkow Wharf Co. shares were sold at Tls. 272.50/270. LANDS.-Wrihaiwei Land and Building Co.. Ld. The report and accounts for 1901 were passed at the meeting of shkreholders held on the 26th March. There was a loss of Tls. 2,458.17, which was added to the previous debit balance of Tlu. 4,496.08, increasing it to Tla. 6,949.27. Shares are offering. INDUSTRIAL China Flour Mill shares were sold at Tls. 44; and Shanghai Pulp and Paper shares at Tls. 106. MISCELLANEOUS. Shanghai-Sumatra shares were placed at Tls. 45 cash, 46.50 for April and 47 for July. Shanghai-Langkat Tobacco Co., Ld. The report and accounts to the 31st Decem- ber last were presented and passed at the ordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 27th March. The charges included an item of Tls. 121,296 for interest and exchange, which is not likely to recur, covering, as it did, a term of years. Allowing for this and other charges, the net profits for the year were Tls. 217,912.04, which is equal to 18.20 per cent, on the nominal capital. Adding the premium on the new issue of shares, Tls. 197,000, and deducting the debit balance of Tls. 65,752.59 brought forward, the balance at credit of Profit and Loss in Tis. 349,169.45. An extraordinary general meeting was then held, at which a resolution was passed placing the Company in Liquidation, and Líquida. tors were appointed, who were empowered to trans- fer all the assets and liabilities of the Company to a Dutch Company called the Maatchappij. Tot Mijn Bosch en Landbouw Exploitatie in Langkat, Ltd.; and every member of the old Company will receive in exchange for each share held, two shares in the new Company, of 100 guilders each. An extraordinary general meeting, to confirm this is convened for the 23rd April. Shares have been sold at Tls. 305/310 cash, 315 for April, 325 for June, 330 for July, and 337.50 for August.
