| March 24, 1902.

In accordance with the special resolutions CHINA SUGAR REFINING CO., LD. passed on 28th December, 1901, the capital of the Company was raised to $1,500,000, but as very little of the additional capital has been subscribed by shareholders, the profits of the year have all been absorbed in the purchase of the new boats, and there are, therefore, no funds available for the payment of a dividend.

The 8.8. Zafiro commenced running on the line on 30th November, 1901, and h s given great

satisfaction.
