SHARE REPORT.

HONGKONG, 6th September.--Since report of the 30th ultimo the August settlement, though heavy, has been successfully dealt with, but there has been little or no recovery in our market as confidently hoped for, and there is again little of interest to report.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais have been placed in small lots at from $600 to $665, but are easier at the close at $602) sellers. The London rate has advanced to £61. 5s. Nationals and Bank of China are unchanged.
MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions are quiet at $340. China Traders have sold and have sellers at $60. North-Chinas have improved to $192. Yangiszes and Cantons are on offer at quotations.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkong Fires are on offer at 83424. China Fires have sold and are obtainable at $82.
SHIPPING.-Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have been placed freely at 8341 and 8341, and there are further buyers.. Indo-Chinas have been imported from Shanghai at $135 to $136 and more shares can probably be had at the higher rate. China-Manilas continue on offer at $62. Douglases are obtainable at 850. Star Ferries are still in request at 8244 (old) and $91 (new). Shell Transports are unchanged at £21 12s. 6d. sellers.
REFINERIES.-China Sugars are neglected at $136. Luzons are on offer at $36.
MINING.Raube have been done at $11, $114 and $12, and are firm at the latter quotation. In other stocks there is no change to report.
DOCKS, WHARves and Godowns.—Hong- kong and Whampos Docks have declined some. what, and are now quoted at 8275. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves have sold and have buyers at 8971. New Amoy Docks have been placed at $24) and close with sellers at $25. For December delivory sales have been effected at $254 and 326.
Lands, Hotels and BuildinGS,—Hong- kong Land Investments have been placed in considerable quantities at $191. Kowloon Lands are wanted at $304. West Points are steady at $51. Hongkong Hotels are wanted at 8127. Humphreys Estates have sold at $134 and $134, and are on offer at the higher rate.
COTTON MILLA.-Hongkong Cottons have sold at $10 and $11, and are still in request. There is no change to report in other stocks under this head.
MISCELLANEOUS-Green Island · Cements have sold at $21. China-Borneos are quiet ni 838. Watsons are offering at $16. Hong- kong Electrics are wanted at $121 (old) and 861 (new). Ropes have sold at 3172). Hong- kong Tees have sold at $182 and are now
