MARINE INSURANCES-Chind Traders have beru placed at $54. Unions are still enquired for at the enhanced rate of $240 without bring- ing shares into the market. North Chinas have been placed at $160 and $170, and Yangtszes at $140). Canton unchauged and without business.
FIRE INSURANCES. The market continues neglected with sellers of Hongkongs at $300 and Chinas at $80 and only small sales of the latter to report:
SHIPPING: Hongkong. Canton and Macaos have improved to $30 with sales after shares : had been placed at $30 $301 and $334, Indo Chinas have rul d in demand at $92 to $924 but few shares are obtainable and business has been restricted. Douglases are on offer at the reduced rate of $50 without inducing buyers to come forward. China Manilas continue. quiet with a small business at quotation. China Mutuals prefs have changed hands at £10 10.
REFINERIES-Sales of China Sugars are reported at $128 and $130. Luzons remaiu weak and neglected.
MINING Panjoms have ruled very quiet, with sellers at $7.25 and only very small sales; at time of closing shares are obtainable in úbimportant lots at 87 Preferences have changed hands at $1.30 and close with few more obtainable at that rate bat with buyers at $1 20. Jelebus have founder buyers at quotation also Olivers and Great Easterné, Raubs continue dull with little or no business' and the rate has fullen to $57.

DOCKS, WHARVES, AND GODOWNS, Hong- kong and Whampoa Docks have fond buyers at 490 per cent. prem., and close firmer at 495 with buyers. Amoy Docks have changed hands at $21;and $205, Kowloon. Wharfs, have changed hands in unimportant lots af, $85, and $86, closing with sellers at $85 Wanchais have improved to $51 without business.
LANDS, HOTELS, and Building8.—Hong. kong Lands-remain unchanged with small sales at $127 and $126 closing rather quieter at $1264 with sellers Hotels continue very quiet with no sales to report. West Points have ruled quie with sellers and small sales at $47. Humphreys have been negotiated at $101, $104, $10 and $11, closing steady at $10,75%*
