JOINT STOCK SHARES. HONGKONG, 12th April.-With but few changes in rates the market continues quiet and dull and closes without any special feature or business,
BANKE-Hongkong and Shanghais in the early part of the week were placed in small lofs at $318; later, however, shares offered at $317 and found only small buyers, and the market closes quiet at the later rate. Nationals are still enquired for at $284 to $29 without bringing shares an the market.
MARINE INsurances-China Traders are enquired for at $54 and small sales are reported. North Chinas and Yongtszes have changed hands at quotations also a small lot of Cantons at 130 Unions are wanted at $235 without bringing shares on the market. Straita neglected and without business.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs have been placed in small lots at $300 and $204; Chinas at $80.
SHIPPING -Hoogkong, Canton and Macaos unchanged at £30 euyers and $30 sellers, with sales at both rates. Douglases continue on offer at $51 without bringing any buyers on the market. Indos remain steady to form at $92 with unimportant sales. China Manilas and China Mutuals unchanged and without business.

MINING-Punjoms have ruled weak with sellers at $7.40 and later at $7.30; reported small sales at $7.50, market closing quiet $7.25. Olivers have been on offer at quotations without business. The last crashin. is advised by wire as 280 oz. from 500 tons with, working for 27 days. Jelebus bave changed hands at $12.50 and $19.75. Great Eastern at 70 cents. Raubs continue dull and quiet at quotation without any business to report.
REFINERIES. Both China Sugars and Luzons continue neglected with no business to report.
DOCKS, WHARVES, AND GODOWNS.-Hong- kong and Whampoa Decks have ruled much weaker and a few shares on offer have brought the market down to 490 per cent. premium with a small business to report. Kowloon Wharfs in the early part of the week changed hands at 887,864 but later with probable sellers Wanchais unchanged and without business.
LANDS, HOTELS. AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands have been p'aced during the week at $116, 8126 and $127, closing with buyers at the former and sellers at the latter rate. Hotels continue neglected and have ruled rather weaker at $121, with only very small sales at that rate.
