SHANGHAI, 23rd July.-(From Messra. J. P. Bisset & Co.'s Report.)-A fair volume of business has been done, and prices have been well main- tained. Banks-Hongkong and Shanghai Ban- king Corporation.-Shares have been sold to Hongkong for delivery on the 31at current at 188 per cent. premium, with exchange 734, which is equal to 191 per cent, premium, with exchange 79, and sharea have been placed locally at the same price. Marine Insurance.-North-Chinas were placed at Tis. 190, Yangtszes at $160, and Straits at $18. Fire Insurance.--Chinas were sold to Hongkong a5 $106, and locally at $106. Shipping-But little business has been done under this head. Some Indo-China S. N. shares changed bands at Tis. 374. The market is weak, with sellers at Tla 373. Sugar Companies. China Sugar Refining shares were placed at $147 cash and $148 for delivery on the 5th proximo. Mining. Sheridan Consolidated M. & M. shares were sold at Tls. 2.50, and more are wanted. Raub Australian Gold Mining shares were purchased from Hongkong at $25}. Docks, Wharves and Godowns.-Shanghai Engineering shares have been sold at Tls. 106.
