SHANGHAI, 25th September (from Messrs. Whee- lock & Co.'s report.)-Our last was dated the 11th instant, and since then we have passed the most im- portant settling-day the Chinese have during the year, at one time it looked as if the natives were go- ing to have some difficulty in squaring up accounts; however, we believe this was not the case, as every- thing went off very satisfactorily, although interest at one time was as high as twenty per cent. per an- num.
