A pool arrangement has been entered into by the Hongkong, Canton, and Macao Steamboat Co., Limited, and the China Navigation Co,, on the one side, and the opposition Chinese owned steamers on the other, with reference to the trade between Hongkong and Canton. agreement was signed on the 23rd inst.

The following Imperial Edict, we learn from the Mercury, was issued on the 10th inst.:- From the report of Lui Ping-bang, the Governor of Shantung, we learn that Lieutenant-General Lin Pao-sing, Brigadier-General Chang Wen- sun, Lieutenant-General Yang Ying-lien, and their duty at Weihai.
