(Mr. Burkill) (Mr. Cruikshank): o Bluebeard was unfortunate at the start, and lagged behind somewhat. Sinner was quickly to the front, Havoc, Torchlight, and Bovril being close up and running hard. At the bridge Bluebeard caught his opponents, and recovered so much of the lost ground that Bovril became last at the plantation. At the hill Torah light passed Havoc, and Singer's lend wan lightly reduced at the bend, and Havce, Blue board and Toreblight were now in a line. In the straight Sinner was overtaken by Blue- heard and Torchlight, while Bovril and Havoc were dangerously near. Haroo did a foe spart passing the stand, but was unable to rain upon the leaders, as he was hemmed in
the bridge Borril came rapidly forward and passed mear the rails by Bluebeard and Toreblight. At Bluebeard, while Torchlight had a slight advant age of Lavoc. At the plantation a very fine race was witnessed, the whole of the ponies being well together, Sinner still being ahead. Bluebeard rushed again at the rook, and loft Bovril and Havoc behind. Entering the straight Sinner was hotly puraned by Bluebeard and Torchlight, but now Bovril came forward with a grand step, got abreast of the others.
