5.1 A standard solution of a substance
is a solution of accurately known concentration.
5.2 The titration is a process during which the solution of one reactant is run from a burette into a knoWN volume, e.g, 25.0 cm3 of the solution of the other reactant until the reaction is just complete.
5.3 The end-point or equivalence point
of
titration denotes
that equivalent numbers of moles of the reactants have been reacted, i.e. the reaction is just completed.
5.4 The end-point of titration can be detected in a number of different ways such as using an indicator, measuring the pH values with a pl meter, measuring the temperature changes, etc.
