A Resident Building Services Engineer

To monitor and report to the Resident Senior Building Services Engineer and to Building Services Branch, Electrical & Mechanical Services Department, on the progress of the building services installations for the Tuen Mun Hospital project.

The Resident Building Services Engineer's primary responsibilities are: to monitor services sub-contractor's progress; to monitor problems affecting progress and resolution; to assist the Resident Senior Building Services Engineer in all relevant matters and to provide professional support in ensuring that workmanship standards and specification requirements are maintained. He shall report directly to the Resident Senior Building Services Engineer.

Applicants are required to be a member of at least one of the following institutions:-

The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers; or

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers; or

The Institution of Electrical Engineers; or

The Institution of Professional Engineers, New Zealand, (Electrical & Mechanical); or

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Mechanical engineering Discipline or Electrical Engineering Discipline) elected after 5th December 1975.

Aplicants should have a fourthical background. Previous perience in the design and depervision of building services installations including Girondonis, power supply, lighting and communication steins of hospital projects would be advantage.

Preference will be given to local candidates who the fëminárovih Government procedures and the running of mentor overament projects. The salary for the post will be in the range of HK$16,265.00 to HK$26,810.00 per month. The fifty salary will depend on the post-professional qualification experience of the successful candidate. The appointment will be for a period of ones year upon the satisfactory completion of which a 25% gratuity of gross salary paid will be made.

The successful candidate will be required to take up this y appointment not later than 1ST SEPTEMBER 1988.
