Today I would like to give you some hints on tackling Reading Comprehension and Word Order in HKCBE English Language Paper III.

Reading comprehension was introduced for the first time in the 1979 Examination. Because of its proven effectiveness in testing the candidate's standard of English, this type of question is expected to be very popular in future examinations. It is test of the candidate's knowledge and skills in comprehen- slon, part of speech, verb-form, article, preposition, vocabulary and idiomatic expres- sion, all integrated together in a given piece of writing. Here are some examples.
