REPORT OF THE AUDITORS TO THE MEMBERS OF THE BANK OF EAST ASIA, LIMITED Ve bave examined the above Balance Sheet with the books and securities of the Bank in Hong Kong, with the andited Accounts of the Singapore Branch and with the returns from other Branches and have obtained all the information and explanations which in our opinion were necessary for the purposes of our audie So far as appears from our examination, the Bank has kept proper books of account and has

ceived proper and adequate returns from Branches.

In our opinion the Balance Sheet subject to the notes thereon is properly drawn up so as to exhibit a tree and fair view of the state of affairs of the Bank at 31st December, 1957, regard"being had, inter alia, to the programs of the Banking Ordinance; according to the best of our information and the explanations given to us and as shown by the books of the Bank in Hong Kong, the audited Accounts of the Singapore Branch and the recams from other Branches,
