There are several ways by which the moisture-laiden air gets cooled to cause rain.

Relief Rain. When the winds blow against a range of mountains, they are forced to rise up. Since the tem-, perature is lower at high altitudes, the winds are cooled and rain is precipitated on the windward slope of the mountains.
