Pakistan consists of two provinces the smaller) East Pakistan and the larger Weet Fakistan-separated, from each other by 1,000 miles of Inidan territory. kelief. In general, East Pakistan consists of an aluJ vial plain while West Pakistan consists of dry hills.. and plateaus in the west and an alluvial plain in thel east.

The surface of East Pakistan is nearly all less then 50 feet above sea level. Its flat, fertile delts) was built by three rivers the Padma (upstream in, India called the Ganga or Ganges), the Jamuna (Brahmaputra) and the Surma (or Meghna).
