PREPOSITIONS

A Preposition is a word put before a noun or pronoun to show its relation to something else.

Some Prepositions are the shortest words in the English Language but may be the most difficult to use.

Common Prepositions - on, in, to, by, of, from, after, for, with, under, ata down, between, before, about, Inear. over. into.

They are usually used with a noun or a pronoun to make a phrase.

After a preposition the noun or pronoun in the phrase is always in the objective care. We say that the preposition governs the noun or pronoun that it goes withộ
