Yawata's prize-winning film "Creation of New Wealth" tells the dramatic story of how the Orient's largest steel company plans and builds to serve industry. This beautiful color film describes Yawata's newest integrated steel works, where steel is produced from raw materials to finished products. The spectator sees the fascinating process unfold, step-by-step, and learns how new wealth in the form of high-quality. steel products is produced for the betterment- of all peoples.

The new works incorporates the latest equipment and techniques. It was built at a cost of US$250 million, and required expenditures of energy equal to that of 4,000,000 people. Four years and 132,000 tons of steel were required for the construction of this model steel complex.
