(b) What is the durability of the coating material in other recreational facilities of the Council, such as the artificial turf soccer pitches, running tracks in athletic grounds and squash courts?

(c) What is the annual maintenance cost of the Council's recreational facilities and its percentage as compared with the total expenditure of the recreational facilities?

The first part is on the type of coating material of the Council's tennis courts and its durability. He also enquired whether such material could be replaced by something of higher quality and the cost for replacement.

Most of the Council's tennis courts are coated with "multi-layer acrylic colour coating". Durability of the coating material mainly depends on the usage rate of various venues. Given the average usage rate of the Council's tennis courts, it is estimated that the coating material needs to be replaced every 3 to 4 years.

In fact, the "multi-layer acrylic colour coating", renowned for its durability and anti-slippery properties, has been used globally on many tennis courts where international tournaments are held. According to the Architectural
